When someone suggested Margaret Hixon go independent and start her financial advising firm, she took the advice and ran with it. Thirty-two years later, Vimvest is a thriving company that is setting the bar for the future of financial management. “It truly takes a village, and I’m thankful for all of the support I’ve received over the years,” Margaret says. 

An industry expert, Margaret is passionate about helping clients make decisions that will set them up for the future they want. “This work isn’t about money,” she says, “it’s really about getting to know people and helping them achieve their goals and the life they want.” As a result, one of the main services that Vimvest provides is income planning for retirees. 

Margaret is also devoted to education and knowledge-sharing. Monthly dinner seminars and workshops, as well as open communication, are an integral part of Vimvest. “Our advisors are taught processes and checklists that safeguard them from making the mistakes that most other young independent advisors make.” 

Strong in her Christian faith, Margaret deeply values integrity and service.  “I truly believe the more you give, the more you receive.” A giving component is a key part of the new Vimvest app set to launch shortly. Representing the next generation of investing, the app will also offer full banking, saving, and investment services.  

Excited about the future, Margaret is also grateful for the present. “I am blessed to be able to work with my sons, who are the current co-CEO’s of Vimvest.” Outside of the office, Margaret cherishes time spent with her husband of 18 years and visits with her daughter, son-in-law, and grandchild.
