Tidewell Foundation announced it has received a $20,000 grant from the Wilson-Wood Foundation to support community grief services.

Tidewell Hospice offers grief support for families of Tidewell patients following their loss. Services are also available to anyone in the community suffering a loss due to any cause, including a traumatic death, perinatal loss, or diagnosis of serious illness. Individual counseling with a grief specialist and specialized grief support groups are available.

Tidewell Hospice is the most significant provider of free community grief counseling in its four-county service area which includes Charlotte, DeSoto, Manatee and Sarasota counties. Each year, Tidewell serves hundreds of individuals and holds thousands of grief support sessions.

“The Wilson-Wood Foundation’s longtime commitment to Tidewell is inspiring,” said Debbie Mason, President of the Tidewell Foundation. “This grant will help us bring hope and healing to those in our community who have been touched by grief.”
