The Tidewell Foundation is pleased to announce the inaugural Tidewell Remembrance Walk, a fundraiser to support Tidewell Hospice and other affiliates of Empath Health. The non-competitive 3-mile walk, sponsored by Alltrust Insurance, will begin at 9:00 am Saturday, November 4 at Nathan Benderson Park, 5851 Nathan Benderson Circle, Sarasota. The Remembrance Walk brings together the community to remember loved ones who have passed away. Registration begins at 8:00 am the day of the walk.
The Remembrance Walk will feature opening ceremonies, turnarounds at any point along the 3-mile route for those who prefer a shorter distance, an awards ceremony for top fundraisers, food trucks and refreshments, and a Full Life Fair, where participants can learn about Tidewell Hospice and Empath Health’s wide range of services. Participants may purchase a tribute sign to honor a loved one; the sign will be placed along the route and can be taken home after the event.
“We’re looking forward to returning to Nathan Benderson Park to offer people a chance to remember their loved ones while helping the Tidewell Foundation support the programs of Tidewell Hospice, the region’s only not-for-profit hospice, and other Empath Health affiliates,” said Tidewell Foundation Interim President Delesa Morris.
