The Venice Chorale Presents Their 2019-20 Season

By  |

The Venice Chorale’s 120 voice Concert Choir will be performing three concerts this season, singing everything from traditional choral pieces to modern jazz. Their concerts will be held at the Venice Performing Arts Center (VPAC) on December 8, February 9, and April 20 at 7:00 p.m. The Venice Chorale Youth Chorus and High School Apprentice Choir will also perform at all three concerts.

Celebrate the holiday season with The Venice Chorale performing Holiday Pops with Brass on December 8. The concert will feature holiday favorites, such as Gloria by John Rutter, with brass, percussion and organ, and traditional carols that will surely have you singing along. Fun for the whole family!

On February 9, the chorale presents, We Shall Overcome, a celebration of triumph over adversity, performing music inspired by the struggles and victories in the fight for justice around the world and here at home.

For their final concert on April 20, Jazz Divine, The Venice Chorale will perform a less traditional take on the Catholic Mass, with Will Todd’s jazz mass, Mass in Blue, featuring a soprano soloist and jazz trio. Additional works performed will undoubtably delight choral music and jazz lovers both.

Season tickets are $55-$70, and individual tickets are $20-$25 and $5 for students. Group discounts are available. Tickets can be purchased online at www.thevenicechorale.org, or at the VPAC box office, in person or by calling 941-218-3779, Monday-Friday from 10-2.
