SCF Nursing Students Exceed 98 Percent Passing Rate on Licensure Examination

By  |

Nursing students at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) have recorded a passing rate of 98.28 percent on the National Council of State Boards of Nursing Licensure Examination (NCLEX) through the first three quarters of 2019. The statewide passing rate was 69.47 percent over the same period, demonstrating the impressive success rate of SCF-educated nurses relative to their peers.

The NCLEX-RN exam is used by all state boards of nursing in the United States to assess a student’s competency. A passing grade is required for licensure. Many state boards use NCLEX-RN passing rates to assess the ability of a school to provide a nursing education.
