Sarasota Chamber of Commerce Announces April’s State of the Community Series

The Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce is pleased to present The State of the Community Series: Transportation Transformation – Short Term Pain for Long Term Gain. The event will take place on Friday, April 28, 2023, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM EST, at the Carlisle Inn in Sarasota, FL.

This event will provide attendees with the latest updates on transportation in the area, how it affects their commute, associates, and businesses. The presenter, Mr. Wayne Gaither, FDOT District 1 Southwest Area Office Director, will speak about the ongoing transportation issues in the area. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from his expertise and engage in dialogue with him during the Q&A session.

Mr. Gaither is a seasoned professional with over twenty years of experience in various planning disciplines, including transportation planning, comprehensive planning, land-use, and zoning development. He has worked at the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) level, Lee County Transit, and the Florida Department of Transportation, where he currently serves as the Southwest Area Office Director.
