Sarasota Chamber Adult Leadership Graduates

By  |

June 6, 2022 – Sarasota

Last month, Leadership Sarasota, a program of the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce, graduated 46 amazing leaders from the Adult Leadership Sarasota program.  The graduates’ hard-work and perseverance throughout the ten-month program was recognized as they celebrated with friends and family at Sage SRQ.  The program focuses on identifying and inspiring current and future leaders and helping them explore different organizations and facets within the community, while also creating lifelong relationships with their classmates.  During each class, participants also complete a class project with local non-profit organizations.  This year, the class was split into five groups to spread the impact across five non-profits.  The non-profits chosen for this year were Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast, Inc., Early Learning Coalition of Sarasota County, Safe Place and Rape Crisis Center (SPARCC), The Haven, and Teen Court of Sarasota, Inc.  Based on the number of volunteer hours made by each participant and the 2022 estimated national value of volunteer hours the Adult Leadership Sarasota Class of 2022 made $13,777 worth of volunteer impact.  Leadership Sarasota and the Sarasota Chamber continue to be amazed by the participants in the program and the overarching reach to multiple organizations within Sarasota.  We wish all the graduates continued success as they now go on as alumni of the program.
