The Ringling Inspires: Honoring the Legacy and Building for the Future

By  |

The amount secured to date for the Ringling Inspires initiative.

The Ringling Inspires campaign is vital to the museum’s long-term commitment to engage and welcome diverse audiences, and increase access to the treasures found in its collections, while preserving the incredible heritage of The Ringling’s campus. As we celebrate this landmark architecture, both historic and contemporary, and continue to invest in innovative programs to expand service to more than 415,000 annual visitors, The Ringling broadens its international impact and strengthens its role as a cultural leader.

Through the support of the community, $92 million has already been secured. These funds have allowed for the opening of five new spaces over the last several years. Additionally, significant gallery space in the Searing Wing has been devoted to the Art of Our Time modern and contemporary collections, and the restoration and reinstallation of three galleries in the Museum of Art have been completed, with three more opening in October 2018.

Linda + Keith Monda

In February, The Ringling received a $5 million gift from Keith and Linda Monda. The Monda family has been an active supporter of the Art of Our Time program, and this donation will ensure the initiative has a permanent place at The Ringling. They have given four significant works of art by important contemporary artists – Teo Gonzalez, Yayoi Kusama’s, Beverly Pepper, and Richard Serra. Additionally, the Mondas have created an endowment for the Keith D. and Linda L. Monda Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art.

The community is grateful to the donors who have invested in The Ringling’s future, knowing that this great museum is poised to meet the needs of the 21st century.
