Ringling College of Art and Design Awarded Community Foundation of Sarasota County Grant to Support Student Scholarship, Stulberg Gallery Program, and Sarasota Art Museum Community Engagement

Ringling College of Art and Design today announced that the Community Foundation of Sarasota County has awarded Ringling College a $30,500 grant from the John J. Clopine Fund to support student scholarship and community arts engagement.

The Community Foundation grant provides essential underwriting to three Ringling College programs:
1. Art in Action: Visionaries and Voices exhibitions at the Lois and David Stulberg Gallery through the 2020/2021 season. The Stulberg Gallery exhibits enhance student art education and provide cultural enrichment for Sarasota residents of all ages, races, and socio-economic backgrounds, providing the opportunity for meaningful arts experiences and dialogue.

2. Endowed Scholarship Luncheon recognizes donors who have chosen to leave lasting legacies by creating endowed funds that contribute to student scholarships. Student scholarships remain Ringling College’s most critical funding need, as scholarships make the Ringling College educational experience possible for some of the most talented young artists and designers in the world.

3. Janaina Tschäpe exhibition at the Sarasota Art Museum on the Ringling College Museum Campus

is an engaging, multidisciplinary, and interactive exhibition with related public programs that opened on December 13, 2020 and will run until May 2, 2021. The exhibition provides opportunities for the community to gather, learn, be inspired by, and experience the power of art to transform society.
