New Safety Protocol at Urbanite Theatre

By  |

September 21, 2021 – Sarasota

Urbanite Theatre has joined the Safe Arts Sarasota initiative, and strengthened their Health and Safety Protocols for attending indoor performances at Urbanite Theatre. More than 25 cultural and performing arts organizations in Sarasota have adopted these standards, and together these institutions will preserve the health and safety of one of the largest employment sectors in Sarasota.

Among the new protocols, all guests attending Urbanite Theatre are now required to show either:

     – A negative PCR COVID-19 test administered by a medical provider/official testing center no earlier than 72 hours before the time of their performance

      OR

     – A negative rapid antigen COVID-19 test administered by a medical provider/official testing center no earlier than 24 hours prior to the time of their performance. Home testing kit results will not be accepted for entry.

–If preferred, patrons may voluntarily show proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 at the door as an acceptable alternative to negative COVID-19 test results.

Both physical and electronic presentation of documents will be accepted. Photo identification must accompany the presentation of all documents. Additionally, all patrons must wear masks regardless of vaccination status.

Urbanite Theatre will be revisiting and revising these protocols, as necessary, throughout the season.
