All Faiths Food Bank Receives $25,000 Grant from Gulf Coast Community Foundation
Donation to support 2018 Campaign Against Summer Hunger

All Faiths Food Bank has received a $25,000 grant from Gulf Coast Community Foundation to support the 2018 Campaign Against Summer Hunger. The grant will help in providing 40,000 school-aged children and their younger siblings in Sarasota and DeSoto counties with healthy and nutritious food over the summer months. Through a dollar-for-dollar match running April 1 through May 15, the funds will be used to purchase and distribute food to children over the summer holiday.

“Gulf Coast Community Foundation was a founding partner of the Campaign Against Summer Hunger,” said CEO Sandra Frank. “Their vision and support has changed the lives of children throughout our region.”

“Gulf Coast has supported this vital Campaign Against Summer Hunger since it was launched five years ago,” said Mark Pritchett, president/CEO of Gulf Coast Community Foundation. “Every year, All Faiths Food Bank and a growing number of partners find innovative ways to feed even more children with more nutritious food. That’s a community investment worth making.”
