April 12, 2023 – Sarasota

The Central West Coast chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association (CWC-FPRA) will host its annual Image Awards event on Wednesday, April 19, at 5:30 p.m. at the Grove Restaurant (10670 Boardwalk Loop) in Lakewood Ranch. This year’s theme is “All that Glitters.” The local Image Awards competition is conducted annually to highlight outstanding public relations programs and encourage and promote the development of the public relations profession in our area.

The winners were selected from submissions that demonstrated the most successful public relations, marketing and communications projects based on innovation, planning, and design. Work is recognized in four divisions: Public Relations Programs, Printed Tools of Public Relations, Digital Tools of Public Relations, and Student Projects in Public Relations. Submissions were evaluated based on evidence of sound research and planning as well as having met the highest standard of production, execution, evaluation of results, and budget.

Additionally, during the event, the chapter’s Joe Curley Rising Leader nominee will be named. The Joe Curley Rising Leader Award is intended to identify and honor up-and-coming individual FPRA members that demonstrate emerging leadership traits along with dedicated active involvement in FPRA chapter activities, programs, functions and events.

“This event is an excellent opportunity to recognize local talent in PR, marketing and communications,” said Sheryl Vieira, board president of CWC-FPRA. “Each year, professionals from throughout the community come together to celebrate, network, learn from and be inspired by colleagues who are leading the way in their field.”

Open to all who wish to attend. Cost is $50/CWC-FPRA members, $60/future members; registration is available online at cwcfpra.com.

CWC-FPRA is grateful to its annual sponsors: Next-Mark and Caldwell Trust Company. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota and DeSoto Counties and Sir Speedy have graciously donated spaces and resources as in-kind sponsors.
