Jewish Federation Celebrates 65 Years

The Jewish Federation of Sarasota-Manatee is proud to announce the organization’s 65^th anniversary.

A community celebration is planned for February 25 at 7pm at The Ora, the new premier event venue located at Federation’s campus on McIntosh Road, Sarasota.

The festivities will feature performances by renowned Israeli American dance ensemble, KeshetChaim, glimpses of the past, present, and future of the organization, and a dessert reception prepared by exclusive catering partner, Michael’s On East.

“We could not be more excited to welcome the community to our new event venue and are eager to share updates of our impact and the ongoing transformation of our organization and campus, soon to include Camp Yonnie and the Chaifetz Holocaust Education Center,” says Shepard Englander, CEO. “We are grateful for the opportunity to publicly acknowledge the visionary leadership of Bruce Udell during his term as board President, and to officially welcome Deb Kabinoff, who begins her Presidency on April 1. “

Over the last 65 years, the Jewish Federation of Sarasota Manatee has transitioned from a small group of committed individuals working to build a better Jewish life in our region to a vibrant and impactful organization serving one of the fastest growing Jewish communities in the United States.

The Jewish Federation of Sarasota Manatee offers exciting programming and events where thousands of community members gather each year to connect and engage with their culture and peers in a safe, secure environment. We provide education grants, lead mission trips to Israel, work to fight antisemitism and provide financial support to community organizations whose work aligns with our mission and values.
