Jazz Comes to Palm Avenue

By  |

June 3, 2022 – Sarasota

TONIGHT, June 3, the Downtown Improvement District unveils the full programming and partner list for JAZZ ON PALM. This eighth edition of the event series coincides with the first-Friday Palm Avenue Art Walk, a mainstay of downtown Sarasota.

Headlining the event is the jazz ensemble, Hot Tonic Orchestra, which specializes in original arrangements of popular songs, including everything from The White Stripes to The Beatles. Supporting the performance will be instructors from Dynasty Dance Clubs, who will be engaging with guests to demonstrate different styles of dance that correspond with the different styles of jazz.

“When the DID approached us about organizing the next event on South Palm Avenue, we knew we wanted to make it really memorable and timeless,” says event organizer Joe Grano of Next-Mark, the marketing agency tasked with executing and promoting the event series. “And what’s more timeless than a jazz ensemble?”

The event series has also secured three new hospitality partners to offer beverages and light bites in the open-air party, including Art Ovation Hotel, 1592 Wood Fired Kitchen, and El Melvin Cocina Mexicana. This Fresh Fridays event is funded by the Downtown Improvement District and sponsored by the City of Sarasota, LOCALiQ, Runningboards Marketing, and The Players Centre.
