IMPACT100 SRQ Announces 404 New Members for 2021

At their annual “Big Reveal” held last night at Nathan Benderson Park Finishing Tower, Impact100 SRQ announced 404 members have raised $404,000 to fund four transformational grants to local nonprofits in Sarasota and Manatee Counties for 2021.

“This year’s record-breaking membership growth is a testimony to passion and commitment for our local community.  So many people have been struggling with unprecedented challenges over the last twelve months, including some of our own. We are so thrilled to make sure our mission of making a significant impact in Sarasota and Manatee Counties continues.” said Jane Watt, President of Impact100 SRQ. “Through the power of collective giving and the dedication of our members, we can continue to fund significant, sustainable and transformational grants” 

Since its inception in 2019, the philanthropic women of Impact100 SRQ have awarded $570,000 in transformational grants. In its first year of operation, Impact100 SRQ had 228 members and awarded two $114,000 to Mother’s Helping Mothers and The Haven.  In 2020 membership grew to 342 women and awarded three grants of $114,000 to Children’s Cancer Center, Mayors Feed the Hungry, and the SKY Family YMCA.  

Any local, public, nonprofit organization can apply for a grant in one of Impact100 SRQ’s five focus area categories: Arts & Culture, Education, Environment & Recreation, Family, and Health & Wellness. The Eligibility Form to apply for a grant can be found now on their website www.impact100srq.org and is the first step to apply for funding.  The grant application process opens on March 10, 2021 and will remain open until April 28, 2021 at 12:00 PM.
