The Healthy Teens Coalition of Manatee County recently welcomed Jonathan Evans as its new Executive Director.

Mary Ann says: “We are thrilled to bring Jonathan on board, given his experience in organizational strategy, finance, policy, and project management, as well as his extensive volunteer history with youth and children’s organizations, both in the UK and internationally. With his leadership, the board is confident Healthy Teens will continue to grow in its ability to empower youth to make informed choices about their physical, mental, and emotional health and well-being.”

Having moved to Florida from London earlier this year, Mr. Evans brings 11 years of experience working in the UK government as a civil servant, where he gained an in-depth understanding of how successful organizations work and how to achieve strategic outcomes through effective planning and delivery.

Jonathan says “I am really excited to be joining Healthy Teens, working with the board, staff and our amazing Teen Health Educators and Young Adult Leaders to help our youth become safer and healthier. The organization came highly recommended is obviously so well-regarded in the community. I will do my utmost to bring all of my experience and passion to build on the successes already gained.

Mr. Evans grew up in England, but his wife Shannon is originally from Sarasota, where they now reside with their young two sons.
