Fresh Fridays Celebrates The Holiday Season

November 17, 2023 – Sarasota

The holiday season is upon us, and Fresh Fridays is getting in the spirit with their December event, Fresh & Frosty. The popular block party series put on by Sarasota’s Downtown Improvement District will hold its third event of the season on December 1st, from 7-10 pm, at Selby Five Points Park, between Five Points Roundabout and 1st St.

In this season of giving, Fresh Fridays have many gifts planned for Fresh & Frosty guests that will entertain the whole family, delivering the downtown community a night of holiday cheer with a spirited showcase of local talent, holiday hits to rock around the tree to, lights that gleam and glisten, seasonal sweets and treats, and more festive fun. “This time of year, it feels especially good to spread joy,” says Joseph Grano, President of Next-Mark, and Fresh Fridays event organizer and promoter, “and there is no better way to celebrate the season than bringing people together to share in the holiday spirit.”

Under the “snowy” spotlight of Fresh Fridays mainstage, sounds of festive favorites and carolers singing will ring out from the event’s holiday showcase featuring local voice talent, a professional caroling troupe, and a DJ spinning merry tunes. Attendees can enjoy singing along to yuletide classics and dancing to pop hits under twinkling lights in between indulging in sweets and treats made special for the season by staple Downtown hospitality partners, Brick’s Smoked Meats, Azul Steak and Sushi Lounge, BESO, State Street Eating House + Cocktails, Sarasota Wine Co., Art Ovation Hotel, and Toastique Gourmet Toast & Juice Bar.

Haven’t taken photos for your holiday card yet? Fresh & Frosty encourages partygoers to bring the family along and strike a jolly pose in the event’s snow globe photo booth, and this Fresh Fridays signature giveaways are the perfect prop to add a bit of shine to your pictures. These free giveaways will be handed out until supplies last.

“We love that Fresh Fridays has become a part of the culture here in Downtown and that the community looks forward to getting together at these events,” says Grano. “It’s incredibly rewarding to hear people say, ‘See you at Fresh Fridays.”

Accessible and convenient parking will be available at Palm Avenue and State Street parking garages. Guests can stay up to date by following Fresh Fridays on their social media channels or by visiting their website at www.downtownsarasotadid.com/fresh-fridays.
