FREE Movie Night at the Manatee Performing Arts Center

Sponsored by Bradenton Kiwanis, the Manatee Performing Arts Center will be hosting a FREE movie showing of REMEMBER THE TITANS starring Denzel Washington Friday, February 28, 2021. There will be a pre-movie concert with special guest Soul Sensations led by Dr. Randall Morgan and local Super Bowl-champion Henry Lawrence will be speaking and signing autographs beginning at 6 PM with movie following at approximately 6:30 PM. 

About REMEMBER THE TITANS 

In the early 1970s, two schools in Alexandria, Virginia integrate forming T.C. Williams High School. The European American head coach of the Titans is replaced by an African American coach from North Carolina. Tensions arise when players of different races are forced together on the same football team.

About Henry Lawrence 

He is a retired Oakland/Los Angeles Raider and earned three Super Bowl Championship rings While he is known as one of the most infamous players to ever set foot on the field, he has also established himself as a distinguished singer and entertainer. 

How to attend 

This event is FREE to the public and spots are on a first-come, first-served basis. Viewing sections will be for up to 6 people and spaced 10 feet apart. Bring blankets, coolers, and snacks. Mask required outside your viewing section.
