JoshProvides Epilepsy Assistance Foundation recently elected Erin Hurter to its Board of Directors. Erin is a senior salesperson for Century Communities, an Atlanta-based new home builder that specializes in affordable housing. During COVID, Erin began free yoga in the park to help people get outdoors; this has grown to twice a week sessions, “Yoga by the Bay with Erin” is attended by a couple of hundred people.
Erin is a parent of a daughter who was diagnosed with epilepsy eleven years ago. Wanting to combat the social stigma and share information with other families, Erin worked with Bruce & Sandi Chapnick, co-founders of JoshProvides, to establish the Epilepsy Support Group in 2013.
Professionally, Erin was Director of Partnership Development for Visit Sarasota County and General Manager of the United Tennis Club in Bradenton. Her community volunteer activities include past Chairman of the All-Children’s Hospital Guild, and tennis volunteer with Special Olympics.
