Empath Health and Trustbridge Affiliates Unite to Become Florida’s Largest Not-for-Profit Post-Acute Care Organization

Empath Health is proud to announce the official affiliation with Trustbridge and its affiliates, including Hospice of Palm Beach County and Hospice by the Sea. This strategic partnership solidifies Empath Health’s position as the largest not-for-profit post-acute care organization in Florida, dedicated to providing Full Life Care to the community.

With this affiliation, Empath Health will serve 1 in 5 Floridians receiving hospice care, extending its service area from Ocala to Naples and now across the state to Palm Beach. Empath will now care for 5,000 hospice patients daily, supported by 5,000 colleagues and 3,000 volunteers throughout Florida.

Jonathan Fleece, President and CEO of Empath Health, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “This affiliation marks a significant milestone in our mission to provide compassionate, comprehensive care to those in need. Together with Trustbridge and its affiliates, we will continue to deliver Full Life Care that extends beyond medical needs, focusing on the interdimensional well-being of our patients and their families.”

Chairman of the Empath Health Board of Trustees, Ben Hayes added, “We are thrilled to welcome Trustbridge and its affiliates into Empath. This partnership strengthens our ability to innovate and collaborate while providing transformational care to thousands of Floridians.”

Tarrah Lowry, Interim President of Trustbridge and now Chief Operating Officer of Empath Health, shared her optimism about the affiliation, stating, “Trustbridge is excited to join with Empath Health, combining our expertise and resources to enhance the quality of care for patients and families throughout Florida.”

Bill Quinn II, Chairman of the Trustbridge Board of Directors, underscored the mutual dedication to person-centered care that unites Empath and Trustbridge. He emphasized their shared commitment to improving quality of life and affirmed a dedication to innovation and growth to address evolving community needs. Chairman Quinn also conveyed deep gratitude for the legacy forged by retiring Trustbridge CEO, Dave Fielding. “Trustbridge, together with the communities of Palm Beach and Broward Counties, extends heartfelt thanks to Dave for his years of unwavering dedication, innovation, and service to the hospice mission.”
