Child Protection Center Welcomes New Board Members

The Child Protection Center, Inc. (CPC) have announced the appointment of Nikki Williams and Christie Mucha to its Board of Directors.

Nikki Williams has been serving the Child Protection Center for over a decade as a volunteer, donor, and event attendee. She has served as a Co-Chair of the Blue Ties and Butterflies signature fundraiser for the organization among other event support. Nikki was the 2023 Volunteer of the Year for the Child Protection Center. The mother of one and wife of Chad Williams shares “I’ve volunteered with a CPC for over 15 years and I am excited about the next 15 as a board member.”

Christie Mucha joins our Board of Directors as a volunteer, advocate and donor for the prevention, intervention, and treatment of child abuse. Christie has a Masters in Education and has worked in early childhood and elementary education. Christie moved to the Sarasota area three years ago with her husband and two children.  Philanthropy is a foundation of her family’s values in the community. She has served on the Blue Ties and Butterflies committee for the past two years. 

Other CPC board members include Tina Granthon, Board Chair, Jennifer Steube, Board Vice Chair, Alina Cemitier, Charlie Brooks, Tony Dempsey, Jennifer Douglas, Jennifer Fox, Edward Griese, Tammy Karp, Donna Koffman, Graci McGillicuddy, Tom McLaughlin, Freya Robbins, and Dan Starostecki.

The Child Protection Center’s (CPC) mission is the prevention, intervention, and treatment of child abuse, as the organization envisions a community where children are safe from abuse and free to thrive. For over 40 years, CPC has been serving Sarasota and DeSoto Counties in the State of Florida and is accredited by the National Children’s Alliance.
