CEO of Lee Wetherington Homes Named “Florida Certified Master Builder”

By  |

Tallahassee-based Florida Certified Master Builder (FCMB), created to help consumers find a builder they can trust, notified Lee Wetherington Homes LLC in Sarasota that they are proud to announce their selection of Gregg Carlson, CEO of Lee Wetherington Homes, as a Florida Certified Master Builder.

Florida Certified Master Builders are elite Home Builders, Remodelers and Commercial Contractors who are dedicated to excellence in building and client satisfaction. The builders who request certification hold themselves to a higher standard than required by the State of Florida for licensure.

Since its founding over 40 years ago, Lee Wetherington Homes has enjoyed a richly deserved reputation for bringing high-quality, innovative design to over 4,000 homes in Sarasota and Manatee Counties. Named as “America’s Best Builder” by Builder magazine, the company is the proud recipient of more than 300 Parade of Homes awards, many for “Best Overall,” as well as a repeated winner of “Readers’ Choice” selections by readers of the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. Home buyers and industry peers readily bestow these honors upon Lee Wetherington Homes because they know they are dealing with a respected, environmentally aware company that is a 100% Energy-Smart Builder, certified by Florida Green Build and FPL Build Smart.

The company is known for “the Lee Wetherington Difference,” an array of unique and highly desirable features included as standard in many of its homes. Lee Wetherington Homes currently offers exquisite residences in Cypress Glen at River Wilderness, The Islands on the Manatee River, The Founders Club, and the Lakewood Ranch communities of LakeHouse Cove at Waterside, Country Club East, and The Lake Club. Each of these communities offers unique amenities to homebuyers, often including a country club lifestyle with golf, a clubhouse, tennis, swimming, and other options. Information is available at www.lwhomes.com, info@lwhomes.com, and 941.922.3480.

The State of Florida proudly touts the extreme difficulty with which to obtain a contractor’s license. Once received, builders and remodelers must adhere to the stringent Florida Building Code and receive 14 hours of continuing education every two years in order to maintain their license. FCMB recognizes Florida’s rigorous standard for all contractors, but knows it is not enough to stand out amongst the crowd.

Florida Certified Master Builders must meet strict requirements and demonstrate a proven track record of building expertise, business stability, integrity and exceptional customer service. Their education, design and product research requirements keep them in tune with the latest building practices and design trends.
