In memory of Jabez Spann, Truvine Missionary Baptist Church, 1947 31st St, Sarasota will host a blood drive on Saturday April 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. SunCoast will donate $10 to the Jabez Foundation for each donation. “I want to see positive things come out of the loss of my son. Donating blood is so important and I hope to raise awareness about it through this blood drive in Jabez’s honor,” said Tawana Spann. SunCoast Blood Bank will donate $10 to the Jabez Foundation for every person who donates. “People don’t realize that there is a silent suffering that is happening when you are looking for a missing child,” said Span. The Jabez Foundation will provide every day resources to families of missing children. “It took money it, took gas, it took a lot of resources. I went into a lot of debt, trying to find him,” said Spann.
