Big Brothers Big Sisters Announces its 2021-2022 Venice community board

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast is proud to announce its 2021-2022 Venice community board members to the organization. A local nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring potential in the youth across the Sun Coast, elected James “Jake” Tate, Jr., CFP of Green Fairways Wealth Management as its chair to the Venice community board. Tate joined the board in 2017 and became a Big Brother soon after joining the board.  

Other members of the community board are Dane DeSantis, Diana Grandy, Tom Hanks, Melanie Johnston, Kathie McManus, Lora Morningstar, Blake Roberts, Salli Struble and Caitlin Valenti. For 53 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast has been matching youth in meaningful, enduring, professionally supported mentoring relationships with adult volunteers who defend their potential and help them achieve their biggest possible futures.

Big Brothers Big Sisters’ evidence-based approach is designed to create positive youth outcomes, including educational success, avoidance of risky behaviors, higher aspirations, greater confidence, and improved relationships. This past year, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast has served over 1,500 youth across a 10 county footprint.
