In support of the Mayors’ Feed the Hungry Program’s campaign to provide food assistance to local food pantries, the Beckstein Family Fund of Manatee Community Foundation, awarded a $3,000 grant to the Mayors’ Feed the Hungry Program.

“This gift of from the Beckstein Family Fund has been used as part of a $200,000 give away in Publix  food gift cards this holiday season”, said Scott Biehler, Executive Director of the Mayors’ Feed the Hungry Program.  “Food gift cards give the recipient some measure of dignity and choice, allowing them to purchase food items not available at food pantries.  With the funding of grants like this we have been able to provide support for those in need”.
