Ball Janik, LLP Expands to West Florida

Ball Janik LLP is pleased to welcome Salvatore G. Scro to the firm’s Orlando office. Scro will join the firm’s Construction and Property Damage Litigation Team as Special Counsel. Scro is Florida Bar Board Certified in Construction. His legal focus for the firm shall be all aspects of complex construction defect litigation, condominium and homeowner association turnover matters, real estate transactions and closings, and shall include all aspects of civil litigation, contract and business matters and litigation, and personal injury. Scro will be one of the lead attorneys at the firm’s newest office opening in western Florida later this year. He resides in Lakewood Ranch, Florida.

Scro’s experience spans 33 years and includes various areas of litigation, real estate, and business matters in New York and Florida. Scro practiced in Syracuse, New York (Scro Law Office) from 1988 until 2006, when he relocated to Florida, where he joined and later became a partner in a Sarasota-based law firm. Since relocating to Florida, Scro has concentrated his practice on representing homeowners, homeowner associations, and condominium associations in complex construction defect litigation and turnover matters. He also represents clients in business, civil and personal injury litigation matters, and commercial and residential real estate transactions.

Scro received his undergraduate degree from St. John Fisher College in 1984 and his Juris Doctorate from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 1987. He is admitted to the Florida (1989), New York (1988), and Washington, D.C. (1990), bars and is admitted to practice in the Federal Court for the Middle District of Florida. He is the former President of the Gulf Coast Basketball Officials Association and has been a member of the Community Associations Institute for Central Florida, South Gulf Coast, Suncoast, and West Florida Chapters.
