Keeping Up With (The Kardashian House)

The Kardashian klan is in the news again, yes, but not for the usual reasons…

Since 2004, E!’s popular reality TV show “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” (KUWTK), has featured the home of the famous family – an unbelievable mansion nestled in the hills of Southern California. Fans will be delighted to know that the Kardashian-Jenners clan’s home is now on the market. Seen by millions of viewers, the fictitious home (sorry, the inside isn’t Kris’ beloved black-and-white tiling), known as Palazzo Dei Sogni, was modeled after an Italian castle. It has appeared on several television shows in addition to its ten seasons as the home of the Kardashian-Jenner family.

How famous is it?

The home, located in Studio City in the Hollywood Hills, has played its own starring role for almost two million viewers a week – checking all of the boxes for location, privacy, and over-the-top opulence. The “Palace of Dreams” was built in 1983 but was extensively remodeled in 2005. The 7,800-square-foot home features seven bedrooms, eight baths, and luxury appliances. The residence sits on just under an acre of meticulously-kept grounds in the Fryman Estates community and boasts A-list neighbors like George Clooney, Miley Cyrus and Bruno Mars.

Origins

The home’s design, inspired by the Medici Castle in Florence, is flush with ornate woodwork, Venetian plastered walls, ceiling and wall murals masterfully painted by artist Giorgio Tuscani, 17th-century chandeliers in almost every room, sconces imported from the Paris Opera House and a centuries-old stone fountain in the front walkway. Public areas of the mansion include a two-story foyer, formal living and dining rooms, paneled den, a screening room with a 12-foot screen, a billiards room and 2,000-bottle wine cellar. Both the indoor and outdoor kitchens include Viking appliances and casual dining areas both inside and on one of the many terraces. The very private gated and hedge-surrounded grounds include rolling lawns, mature landscaping, a saltwater swimming pool complete with a waterfall and parking for ten cars (for your friends…or not?!).

Palazzo Dei Sogni, the stately residence chosen by set designers to star as the backdrop for many hit television programs, including the Kardashian-Jenner flock, is now for sale. Robert E. Howell of Keller Williams Beverly Hills is the listing agent, asking a paltry $8,995,000.
