All Faiths Food Bank Receives $237,000 in Support of Vehicles and Veteran, Children and Mobile Pantry Programs

All Faiths Food Bank recently received grants and support from the following organizations:

$59,583 from Edward Henry Lyman Charitable Fund of the Community Foundation of Sarasota County in support of the maintenance, repair and general costs of the Food Bank’s fleet of vehicles

$73,000 from Share Our Strength in support of the Backpack and School Pantry programs in DeSoto County

$105,000 from The Stone Foundation in support of the Mobile Farm Market, Backpack and veteran’s assistance programs 

WHAT:  In support of the Food Bank’s vehicles, the Backpack Program which provides students with bags of nutritious snacks, School Pantries that provide fresh produce, meats and groceries to families in need at schools, and Mobile Pantries including Mobile Farm Markets which provide access to fresh produce, meats and groceries to those in need.

HOW MUCH:  $237,000
