Wellen Park Announces Upcoming Music and Community Events

Wellen Park invites the community to celebrate the summer with a new lineup of events. Come to Downtown Wellen to enjoy a variety of fun-filled events such as the Celebrate America Concert, a brand-new night market and additional Friday night concerts.

            “We look forward to introducing these new events to the community this summer,” said Christine Masney, vice president of marketing for Wellen Park. “The summer is a great time to come together and enjoy the sunlight and beautiful sunsets, community connections and lifestyle of Downtown Wellen. Wellen Park will be hosting all kinds of family-friendly events this summer and we hope the community comes out and celebrates with us.”

Celebrate America Concert

Celebrate the Fourth of July in Downtown Wellen Park with live music before the fireworks show at CoolToday Park. Wellen Park’s Celebrate America Concert is 5-9 p.m., Thursday, July 4, and is free and open to the public. The event will bring patriotic fun with live music from the Derek Lersch Band on Solis Hall’s outdoor stage facing the Great Lawn. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and enjoy the numerous food and beverage offerings from Downtown Wellen establishments. No outside coolers, personal fireworks or sparklers will be permitted in Downtown Wellen. After enjoying the live music, visitors are encouraged to head over to CoolToday Park to enjoy the City of North Port’s fireworks show during the annual Freedom Festival. Wellen Park Night Market

            Wellen Park is proud to announce the Downtown Wellen Night Market, a new monthly market every second Thursday of the month, starting Thursday, July 11, from 6 to 9 p.m. The Night Market will offer a selection of home decor, fashion, art, design and specialty food items from local vendors. First Friday Concert

            The Downtown Wellen Music Series continues this summer with live music the first Friday of every month on the Solis Hall stage 6-10 p.m. No RSVP is required to attend the concert. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. No outside coolers or outside alcohol will be permitted in Downtown Wellen. To-go alcoholic beverages may be purchased from Downtown Wellen restaurants. Final Friday Concert

            Starting this summer, Wellen Park is now offering a concert on the last Friday of the month. The concerts will be held on the Solis Hall stage 6-10 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. No outside coolers or outside alcohol will be permitted in Downtown Wellen. To-go alcoholic beverages may be purchased from Downtown Wellen restaurants. Fresh Harvest Farmers Market

The Fresh Harvest Farmers Market continues throughout the summer months, occurring each Sunday from 9am-1pm along Wellen Park Blvd. in Downtown Wellen. Shop fresh fruit, vegetables, plants, seafood, cut flowers and more, while also enjoying live music under the heritage tree.
