Waterfront Dream: Key West Remodel

Local award-winning custom home builder and remodeler, TJ Nutter of Nutter Custom Construction, with a portfolio of magazine cover worthy custom homes and renovations, was selected to reconstruct the entire floor plan and livibility of this magnificent Siesta Key home. 

The owners chose to remain true to the existing architecture and enhance the Key West style of their home, while pulling in West Indies design elements to create a casual yet sophisticated feel, which completely suits their personalities and lifestyle. TJ, with 20-plus years of experience and a stellar reputation for delivering quality, while providing transparency, and his team make up the best of the best in the construction industry. They were more than ready for the challenge.

Located on a private and tranquil bayfront lot, NCC meticulously revitalized this 9,841 square foot home with five bedrooms, five full baths and three half baths and his and hers offices. The furnishings and select accents were by Kristin Raybon Designs (kristinraybon.com).

Upon entering the home, the grand living room frames the perfect waterfront picture and immediately draws the eye to the breathtaking view of a tropical paradise. Two linen sofas with a classic ghost table between create a cozy space, perfectly positioned to take advantage of the natural light.  The rich maple wood floors provide a warm, inviting ambience and add to the West Indies feel as do the uniquely handcrafted ceiling detail that extend throughout the home.

The kitchen features custom maple painted cabinetry with louvered accents and an intricate inlaid marble backsplash that adds detail without taking away from the overall space. The oversized island with a quartzite/marble blend countertop makes a functional workspace as well as an impressive interactive gathering area. Three elegant pendants complete this inviting, family-centric island. 

Off the kitchen, the gorgeous great room bar cabinetry is made of glazed distressed knotty cherry and makes a refined statement with its glass doors and detailed backsplash. The custom dining room table is flanked by two captain chairs while the chandelier sparkles over the room adding a formal flair to the space.

The luxurious light and bright master bedroom retreat is resort worthy. The spa-inspired master bath has a free-standing soaking tub perfectly situated to allow ambient lighting and an invisible glass shower featuring white marble. 

Completing this Key West stunner is a large outdoor entertaining area with Brazilian wood plank decking and an outdoor grilling area and kitchen with a seated bar area all overlooking the pristine landscape and pool.
