The Van Wezel Education and Community Engagement Department is thrilled to welcome Latin GRAMMY® award-winning artist MISTER G to the Hall on Saturday, April 19 from 5 – 6 p.m. This free event will take place on the back lawn of the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall.
Families will be treated to a bi-lingual concert in both Spanish and English, and they will leave with a copy of one of MISTER G’s books, Señorita Mariposa (while supplies last). Attendees are encouraged to sing and dance along while enjoying the concert.
Van Wezel Director of Education and Community Engagement Justin Gomlak says, “MISTER G has an approach to children’s performance that is highly engaging and strikes the fabulous balance of being educational and entertaining. We had him perform two shows for local schools and the kids were dancing in the aisles!”
MISTER G at the Van Wezel is part of Suncoast Remake Learning Days, sponsored by the Patterson Foundation. The Van Wezel Education and Community Engagement Department is kindly supported by the Sarasota Performing Arts Foundation.
Future updates on shows, productions and educational programming can be found on the Van Wezel’s website.
