The time and date have been set for the 30th Brunch on the Bay, the signature fundraising event for the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee: 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 3, in the campus courtyard, 8950 N. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota.
Since 1994, Brunch on the Bay has raised more than $6.5 million in scholarships for more than 2,000 students, highlighting the powerful connection between the campus and the Sarasota-Manatee region. Proceeds from this year’s Brunch on the Bay, which will feature food and drinks from some of the area’s leading restaurants and caterers, will again support student scholarships and campus initiatives.
Co-chairing the event are Scott Olthoff, president of CORE Construction Florida, the general contractor for the new USF Sarasota-Manatee Campus Student Center and Atala Residence Hall; and Bill Mariotti, a member of the USF Foundation Board of Directors and a member of the USF Sarasota-Manatee Campus Board.
USF Federal Credit Union is returning as the title sponsor of the 2024 Brunch on the Bay.
“Brunch on the Bay, and the support it has generated from our community for our students and other programs for three decades, have been pivotal to the growth and progress of USF Sarasota-Manatee,” said Sarasota-Manatee Campus Regional Chancellor Karen Holbrook. “With great co-chairs like Scott and Bill at the helm, this year’s 30th Brunch on the Bay promises to be special, as we celebrate what we have accomplished with the help of the community.
“Attendees also will get to see our new Student Center and Atala Residence Hall, the first on-campus residence hall for our students and, of course, dine on the food and drink that have been the hallmark of Brunch on the Bay,” Holbrook said.
The building will open to students in August for the start of the fall semester.
Tickets for Brunch on the Bay will go on sale later this summer. Visit the Brunch on the Bay website for the latest updates.
