SCF to Celebrate Entrepreneurship
The event, which will feature student entrepreneurs, is designed to demonstrate the benefits of owning and managing a business.

Entrepreneurs will exhibit their products and services during National Entrepreneurship Week. The Entrepreneur Expo will include representatives from the Manatee Chamber of Commerce and its Better Business Council, CareerSource Suncoast, Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE), the USF Small Business Development Center (SBDC), Spark Growth and SCF’s Entrepreneurship Program. A DJ will provide music and there will be a food truck on site. Participating businesses will offer information, handouts and promotional items.

SaraSolo Festival back for 4th Season
January 27- February 4, 2018
The 2018 SaraSolo Festival returns to Sarasota over two weekends, January 27 & 28 and February 3 & 4, 2018, showcasing an eclectic mix of 45-90-minute solo performances by 19 national and international artists – featuring music, dance, cabaret, comedy, magic, poetry, performance art, stand-up, storytelling and visual art creation as well as biographical, autobiographical and poetic plays.

3rd Annual Sporting Clays Competition

Mulligans, door prizes, 50/50 raffle tickets sold at registration. Guns will be provided at each stand on the blue (standard) course for those shooters who do not have one. Safety glasses and ear plugs will be provided. E-mail RSVP@argusfoundation.org to indicate black course preference. Trophies will be awarded for the highest individual man and highest men’s team for each course. Trophies will be awarded for highest overall individual woman and overall women’s team trophy.
2nd Annual Lido Beach
Winter Fine Art Festival
Discover original handmade art when the Festival returns for its second year on February 17-18, 2018 to Lido Beach
The event is hosted by the Sarasota Downtown Merchants Association. Admission is free.
Artisans journey to Lido Beach from throughout Florida and across the United States to transform Lido Beach into an outdoor gallery of art. Their work is all handmade; enjoy the talents in such mediums as painting, sculpture, jewelry, glass and ceramics, photography, fiber and wearable art to mixed-media, metalwork, woodworking and more. All the artisans creating these works will be in attendance, many represented in the nation’s most prestigious private art collections and public art institutions.
Hours: 10 am – 5 pm Saturday and Sunday, rain or shine.
