UnidosNow Bringing Blend of Latin Culture and 72-Piece Symphony Orchestra to Sarasota

March 8, 2023 – Sarasota

After a successful inaugural concert in 2022, UnidosNow is bringing their second installment of Noche Unidos – a visionary evening that fuses celebrated Old and New World music by combining the dynamic exuberance of traditional mariachi with the emotional power of a classical symphony – right to the Van Wezel stage.

As UnidosNow’s flagship fundraising event, presented by Gulf Coast Community Foundation and Czaia Law, the event guarantees attendees a worldly evening of inspiring, creative, and captivating performance on a stage with over 80 professional musicians, including the globally recognized Mariachi Cobre group combined with the 72-piece Venice Symphony. Tickets for this year’s event are now on sale and can be purchased online at www.vanwezel.org/boxoffice/noche-unidos-2023-presented-by-unidosnow/

“At the bedrock of the Sarasota/Manatee region is a foundation committed to arts and culture,” says Kelly Kirschner, UnidosNow Co-Founder and Board Chair. “After such overwhelming positive feedback last year, the board, staff and families of UnidosNow realized that this concert needs to be an annual event. It’s a metaphor for the work of UnidosNow – integrating our immigrant population into the fabric of the ManaSota community – with the concert demonstrating that the fusion of seemingly disparate sounds is not only harmonious, but creates something new and beautiful. To host the event at the Van Wezel, the center of the region’s art scene and amidst The Bay, is all the more special as we seek to bring the entire community together again for such a special celebration.”

All funds raised will benefit UnidosNow to further empower the growing number of Hispanic/LatinX community members in our region through education, integration, and civic engagement to achieve the American dream.
