Tidewell Foundation is delighted to announce CFRE International has named Tidewell Foundation Senior Philanthropy Advisor Chris Pfahler as a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE). Pfahler joins more than 7,500 professionals around the world who hold the CFRE designation.
CFRE indicates professionalism, confidence, and ethics. The CFRE certification program is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and is the only accredited certification for fundraising professionals.
“Earning the CFRE is voluntary and rigorous. It demonstrates Chris’s high level of commitment to our donors and our profession,” said Tidewell Foundation Interim President Delesa Morris. “This certification means that donors can be assured that their philanthropic vision will be honored and fulfilled.”
Pfahler joined Tidewell Foundation as a Philanthropy Advisor in June 2020 and promoted to Senior Philanthropy Advisor in January 2022. Prior to her work at the foundation, Chris was the Development Director for Sarasota Crew and served in various capacities with the Gulf Coast Community Foundation.
CFRE International President and CEO Eva E. Aldrich, Ph.D., CAE, (CFRE 2001-2016) said “the CFRE credential was created to identify for the public and employers those individuals who possess the knowledge, skills, and commitment to perform fundraising duties in an effective and ethical manner.” Individuals granted the CFRE credential have met a series of standards set by CFRE International, which include tenure in the profession, education, and demonstrated fundraising achievement. They have also passed a rigorous written examination testing the knowledge, skills, and abilities required of a fundraising executive, and have agreed to uphold Accountability Standards and the Donor Bill of Rights.
Pfahler also was named to the 2022-2023 Board of Directors for the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce on December 6, 2022.
