All Faiths Food Bank is thrilled to announce another edition of one of its most popular – and one of the area’s best-attended – events: Bowls of Hope. This family-friendly event supports All Faiths Food Bank’s work, benefiting our neighbors experiencing hunger.
Each year, Bowls of Hope attracts over 1,000 guests, who select delicious offerings from 40 of the community’s finest restaurants and caterers as they serve delicious soups, entrees, bread, desserts, and more. Guests select beautiful, handcrafted bowls – all donated by local potters, artists, and students – to keep, while enjoying a modest meal as a reminder of the empty bowls they help to fill. There will also be music by Sheri Nadelman.
This year’s event is chaired by Ron and Jo Jadin. “Soup-Er Sponsors” are Ron and Jo Jadin, Keith Monda and Veronica Brady, the Pezzillo Family, and Sam and Dona Scott. Palm Printing has generously donated in-kind services.
“This signature event is always one of the highlights of our year, as the community comes together for delicious food and fun while supporting our efforts to end hunger,” said All Faiths Food Bank President and CEO Nelle S. Miller. “As our community works to rebuild from the recent hurricanes, times continue to be tough for those who were already struggling with hunger – especially for children, families, and seniors on fixed incomes – and the community’s support is needed now, more than ever.”
Bowls of Hope takes place Sunday, November 10, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Ed Smith Stadium (2700 12th St., Sarasota). General admission tickets are $35, children 12 and under at $10, and VIP Experience tickets are $100 and include perks like reserved parking and seating, quick check-in, and enhanced bowl selection. Tickets are now on sale; select sponsorships of $500-$10,000 – which include access to the “Bubbles & Beignets” sponsor reception at 10 a.m. – are still available at allfaithsfoodbank.org.
