The Sarasota Players are excited to announce the addition of the new Director of Development, Amy Gorman, who brings expertise from the fields of finance, education, and non-profit organizations.
Gorman joins the team after having most recently served as the Director of Development at Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School, where she focused on fundraising, community relationships, student programs, and more.
“It’s a tremendous honor to join The Sarasota Players team. They are such an important and trusted part of this community, and their ongoing dedication to the performing arts and rich history instantly drew me to the position. I’m happy to have been chosen for this role,” says Gorman.
Gorman earned her Juris Doctor degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Previous positions included Parents’ Fund Director and Assistant Annual Fund Director at The Taft School and Corporate and Community Advancement Associate at the State College of Florida Foundation.
According to Chief Executive Officer William Skaggs, Gorman’s background, passion, and love of the arts make her the perfect fit.
“We are thrilled to have Amy join our team,” says Skaggs. “She brings the perfect mix of experience and local knowledge that someone in this role needs to shine. We look forward to seeing what she’ll accomplish.”
