The Ringling Grillroom Presents First Wine Dinner to Rave Reviews

By  |

March 31, 2021 – Sarasota

The Ringling Grillroom at The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art in Sarasota recently hosted a five-course wine dinner presented by Chef Curtis Hawk. The dinner featured a menu prepared by Hawk and his culinary team, paired with wines from the Michael David Winery located in Lodi, California.

Attendees from around Sarasota and the surrounding areas enjoyed learning about the wines and sampling the innovative menu created by Chef Hawk. The menu featured items such as Wild Boar Ravioli with Porcini Mushrooms, Sage Cream and Shaved Parmigiana Reggiano and Coffee Braised Beef Short Rib with Mascarpone Polenta and Pickled Fennel Demi-Glace. To the delight of guests, the wine selection included several of the creatively branded Freakshow wines, which have circus-themed images adorning the bottles.

Dinner guests were safely socially distanced and spread throughout the lovely main dining room of the newly remodeled Ringling Grillroom. This Modern American restaurant is located on the ground floor of the McKay Visitor’s Pavilion.   The wine dinner was such a success that another is planned for Thursday, April 29, 2021. An Easter Brunch is also planned at the Ringling Grillroom, featuring items such as Classic Benedict, Shrimp & Grits and Challah French Toast.
