The Meadows Community Association Builds a New Lifestyle and Wellness Facility

The Meadows Community Association, which occupies 1650 acres and is home to 3450 residences and four commercial complexes, (The Meadows Country Club, a Shopping Center, Aviva a Campus for Senior Living and Tarpon Point, a rehabilitation facility in Northern Sarasota County) has held a groundbreaking for the community’s new Lifestyle and Wellness Facility and begun construction.
The facility will feature a state-of-the-art event center and will be managed under the leadership of The Meadows Community Association and will house the community’s ever-growing lifestyle activities/events, wellness programs, condominium and homeowner meetings. The full-time Lifestyle Coordinator will manage the expanded lifestyle activities/ events, wellness programs and association meeting space for the MCA. The fitness center will continue to be leased and operated by The Meadows Country Club (TMCC), and The Club’s full-time Fitness Director will direct the fitness programs for TMCC.
“The new facility represents an extension of the Community Association’s facilities and responds to an increased demand for expanded lifestyle, wellness, socialization, education events and individual Clubs” said Jan Lazar, President of the Meadows Board of Directors.
Sarasota and Tampa based firms were selected for The Meadows Community Lifestyle and Wellness Facility’s development. Formella Construction, with nearly 40 years of experience in construction and design/build, will be the projects General Contractor. Joiner Architecture LLC, with expertise in lifestyle facilities is responsible for the architectural and interior design with Stantec Engineering providing planning, engineering and landscape architectural services. Expected project completion 2022.
