Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Program
This summer, students in grades 1 – 6 can participate in Barnes & Noble’s Summer Reading Program. The program, which is designed to reinforce learning and inspire students to expand their reading horizons, has been encouraging kids to continue reading through the summer for 22 years, with a free book as a prize for completing the program.
So how does the program work?
Educators distribute reading journals from Barnes & Noble to students at the end of the school year. The students can choose any book they want to read and log it, with a short recap of their favorite part, in the journal; when they’ve read and logged eight books, they can present their completed log for a free book at Barnes & Noble.
Barnes & Noble also offers resources for schools & teachers, like 20% off classroom-related supplies, special appreciation events, fundraising through book fairs, and educational tools for parents and teachers.
Visit your local Barnes & Noble store or BN.com/educator for more information about the Summer Reading Program and other educational resources.
