The Founders Golf Club Hosts Inaugural Rosé All Day Event
Members of The Founders Golf Club recently helped raise awareness for the American Cancer Society’s Real Men Wear Pink Campaign through the Club’s first-annual Rosé All Day wine tasting and dinner event. Executive Chef Mac DeCarle also donated an eight-person dining experience as part of the auction to raise funds for the charity.
The event featured tastings of Old World rosé wines paired with dishes created by DeCarle, who has twice been invited to cook at the prestigious James Beard House. Live entertainment rounded out the festive evening.
“A good time was had by all as they sipped delicious wine in support of a great cause,” said Juliette Valin, director of membership and clubhouse operations. “It was a fun way to help educate our members about the important work of the American Cancer Society and help The Club expand its philanthropic outreach into the community.”
With the inaugural Rosé All Day event now in the books, The Founders Golf Club is looking ahead to the future. Expansion plans for this new annual event include a golf tournament along the community’s Robert Trent Jones Jr.-designed golf course, a wine dinner and an expanded fundraising element to further support the American Cancer Society and the nonprofits it works with locally.
The Founders Club offers expansive homesites overlooking picturesque preserves, lakes and golf course fairways. Residents of The Founders Club can enjoy a spacious but intimate clubhouse featuring casual and fine dining and a full social calendar, along with a fitness center, with the purchase of an optional Club membership. Also available to all homeowners are Har-Tru tennis courts, basketball and sand volleyball courts and a picnic pavilion. The community features hundreds of protected live oaks and a natural habitat that attracts a variety of birds and wildlife. There are no CDD fees.
The Founders Club is close to Sarasota’s famed Gulf of Mexico beaches and the acclaimed local restaurants, boutiques and arts and cultural venues of downtown Sarasota.
