Looking for a fun and educational way to keep your child’s mind active this summer while beating the dreaded ‘summer slide’? Registration is now open for the Suncoast Science Center/Faulhaber Fab Lab’s 2025 Summer Camp program. Designed for rising 2nd-8th graders, these hands-on camps blend learning with fun, allowing kids to explore the exciting world of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) through interactive projects, high-tech makerspace tools, and loads of imagination.

Weekly camp themes include Artificial Intelligence, Food Science, Coding, Forensics, Space, Chemistry, Woodworking, Automotive Engineering, Robotics, and much more. Whether campers dream of 3D printing their next invention, launching rockets, or discovering the wizarding world of STEM, there’s a camp for every interest!

Each camp runs for one week, with morning (8:30am-12:30pm) or afternoon (1:30pm-5:30pm) sessions available. Registration is $285 per week, which includes all supplies and a camp t-shirt that kids can customize using the lab’s vinyl printer.

What sets the Fab Lab apart is its unique education model: all camps are developed and taught by high school students in the lab’s Student Planning & Education Committee (SPEC) leadership program. This peer-to-peer approach fosters a relatable, engaging learning environment where younger campers are inspired by passionate teen mentors.

Spots fill quickly… don’t miss out! View the full schedule and register at suncoastscience.org/campsFor questions or more information, contact info@suncoastscience.org or call 941-840-4394.

Camp counselor volunteer opportunities are available for rising 9th-12th grade students. Students can earn community service hours while supporting campers. More information is available at http://bit.ly/2025summervol.
