SPARCCle on the Runway – Return to Fashion 2021
January 20, 2021 – Sarasota
Safe Place and Rape Crisis Center (SPARCC) is hosting its incredibly-popular, annual fashion show in a whole new way on Tuesday, March 2, 2021. SPARCCle on the Runway “Return to Fashion 2021” combines a fabulous, live-steam fashion show with online bidding (for the sought-after fashions worn by the models), and a socially distanced, pop-up shopping boutique at Michael’s on East. This cutting-edge, hybrid fashion show event will not only be the talk of the town but also support the free programs and services SPARCC provides to survivors in our community.
Guests will enjoy the live-stream fashion show at 11 AM, from the comfort of one’s home, and can participate in an online auction for the featured show outfits until 7:30 PM. Additionally, the safe and socially distanced, pop-up fashion boutique – featuring great deals on high-end fashion pieces – will take place in the ballroom of Michael’s on East from 12:30 PM to 7:30 PM, and allow guests a more personalized shopping experience. All proceeds support SPARCC’s free and confidential programs and services for survivors of domestic and sexual violence.
2021 SPARCCle on the Runway Presenting Sponsor, Bowtique Med Spa owners Desmond Brivik and Randy Cofield shared, “We are extremely pleased and excited to be part of such a fun and meaningful fundraising event once again. Not only is it worthwhile, it helps SPARCC continue to be a safe place for survivors of domestic violence and their children, 24 hours a day!”
In the 2019 – 2020 fiscal year, SPARCC provided advocacy services and crisis counseling services to 2,667 individuals; offered a safe shelter to 183 adults, 98 children and 16 pets; responded to more than 4,382 Helpline Crisis calls; and provided legal services for injunction for protection to 302 individuals.
