Sleek, Sexy & Sumptuous: the Rolf Benz MERA Sofa at Home Resource

For the past 8 years, Michael and Kathy Bush have braved the bitter cold in Cologne to attend the Cologne furniture fair, where the German brands introduce their new collections, in the name of bringing the high-end pieces here to Sarasota.

Their yearly travels ensure that Home Resource represents almost the entire group of high-end furniture brands from Germany including Rolf Benz, COR, Draenert, Spectral, Piure, Interlubke, Dreieck, and Dedon.

Although most brands had something interesting in their new introductions, the Rolf Benz MERA sofa impressed the most with its small proportions and light design. Its slender, high feet and delicate frame make the Rolf Benz MERA seem to float formally above the ground; what’s more, the design makes even small spaces feel big.

Just like all ROLF BENZ functional furniture, MERA offers concealed comfort options for sitting, reclining and relaxing. When the backrest is flipped up, the back is transformed into an extra-high, ultra-comfortable backrest that can be adjusted for maximum relaxation. The head section can also be adjusted to suit a preferred position. And if you push out the side and fold down the side component, there is room to elevate your legs. As this foot section is precisely the same height as the seat, concealed spaces can be integrated. The adjustable side components offer the option to lie across the sofa for lounging comfortably.

MERA offers plenty of opportunity for personalized design. Thanks to the small seating units, clients will find the right solution for virtually any room layout, from compact individual sofas to spacious modular groupings. The all-round frame is an individual design element combined with the base and is available in a range of surfaces. It goes without saying that Rolf Benz offers sumptuous fabrics and buttery leather covers for MERA, which feel simply wonderful.
