Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of new board member, Samuel “Sam” C. Scott III. Scott is the retired Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Corn Products International, Inc., today known as Ingredion.
“We are excited to welcome Sam to our board,” said Deb Kabinoff, Healthcare Foundation board chair. “His extensive experience in business and board leadership will be an invaluable asset to the Healthcare Foundation and the health system as we continue growing to meet the needs of our community.”
Scott currently serves on the board of asset management firm GCM Grosvenor, Northwestern Medical Group, The Chicago Council on Global Affairs and Ringling College of Art and Design. He recently retired from the board of BNY Mellon where he served time as Chair of Corporate Governance, Nominating, and Social Responsibility Committee. He has also served on the boards of Motorola Solutions as Lead Director, and Abbott Laboratories. Scott also recently retired from the boards of Chicago Urban League and World Business Chicago. He was also Chairman of Chicago Sister Cities International.
Scott earned a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, New Jersey. He is a native of Jersey City, New Jersey, and presently resides on Longboat Key, Florida.
