Sarasota Ballet – Fall Season Update
By Sarasota Scene |
A letter to our subscribers
Today, we are announcing that we will be offering unique and specifically filmed performances to be streamed to ticket buyers, replacing in-theater performances for the first 3 programs of our 30th Anniversary Season. The decision to do so has been made in order to safeguard audience members, dancers, and staff from the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, while also allowing our Company to continue to perform so that you will be able to experience remarkable ballets this coming Season. We acknowledge that this may feel like a drastic departure from our usual Season programming; that said, we will be making every effort for our Digital Fall Season to emulate a traditional ballet experience, using a multi-camera recording system to capture every aspect of each performance. Our Digital Fall Season will also include extra features such as special guest interviews, rehearsal clips, and a look into the process of creating and staging a world premiere. If you are a Subscriber to our 30th Anniversary Season with tickets to at least one of the affected Programs, you have several ticket options available to you. If you wish to attend our Digital Fall Season as described above, you can simply sit back and enjoy another beautiful Season of ballet from the comfort of your home! We will follow up with you shortly with additional details so that you will be able to make a decision concerning your Subscription in the near future, whether you would like to exchange tickets to another Program or, if preferred, you would like to request a refund for the affected Programs. We thank you, our valued Subscribers, for your loyalty and passion for the art form. In this period of uncertainty, we especially appreciate your support of our Company’s mission to bring world-class ballet to Sarasota. |
