Raise a Glass to the Inaugural Wellen Park Wine Festival
September 6, 2024 | Venice
Wellen Park is kicking off Southwest Florida’s wine festival season with the inaugural Wellen Park Wine Festival. The ticketed outdoor event will feature 30 vintners, a wine class for those aspiring to learn more about wine, live music, light bites and plenty of opportunities for aficionados to sip, swirl, savor and shop dozens of wines. The festival, taking place along Wellen Park Boulevard and on the Great Lawn in Downtown Wellen, celebrates distinguished winemakers and the culinary talents of Wellen Park restaurateurs.
Space is limited and tickets are now available at wellenpark.com/wine.
“We are thrilled to host our first-ever wine festival and plan to make it an annual event,” said Christine Masney, vice president of marketing for Wellen Park. “We are always looking for new exciting cultural opportunities we can bring to our residents and the public, and are sure this will be a big hit.”
The Wellen Park Wine Festival offers an exclusive Premium Experience, beginning with a gourmet wine dinner and preview tasting Friday evening, Nov. 15. This package also includes early entry to the grand tasting Saturday, Nov. 16, from 1 to 4 p.m. Aimed at elevating the festival experience, an 11am Wine Tasting 101 class will introduce the essentials of wine tasting and how to pick the right wines based on smell and taste.
All Premium Experience and general admission tickets include a souvenir wine glass, swag bag and four food tickets for the festival’s food tents featuring gourmet cuisine from culinary partners Acqua Pazza, The Banyan House, Oak & Stone and Villani & Co. Guests will also enjoy live jazz on the Solis Hall stage. Vintner tents provide opportunities to sample favorite vintages from many well-known vintners. A limited number of select wines will be available to purchase on the day of the event, with exclusive wines available to order for pick-up at The Banyan House within two weeks.
The Premium Experience dinner and preview tasting is from 6 to 8:30 p.m. in Solis Hall on Nov. 15. Premium Experience tickets are $250 and include the dinner and grand tasting festival.
General admission tickets are $85 for the grand tasting event on Nov. 16. The wine class, from 11 a.m. to noon in Solis Hall, is $25.
Wine festival guests are encouraged to bring a refillable water bottle, as well as chairs and blankets for the Great Lawn. Limited seating will be provided.
