January 12, 2022 – Sarasota
An initiative of DreamLarge and presented by Ringling College of Art and Design, this year’s PINC-turned-PINCfest has announced a collection of nationally-acclaimed creatives, who will leave a permanent footprint of art and talent in the heart of downtown Sarasota’s art and design district from January 20 to January 22.
Completely free and open to attend, the three-day event will feature visionary muralists like Thomas “Detour” Evans from Denver, ELLE Street Art from Miami, and Jeff Zimmerman from Chicago, who will all transform the buildings of the Rosemary District during live mural painting exhibitions. Two PINCfest stages will also be packed with a lineup of live bands, DJs, and performers such as fire performers, Miami-based First World, and Vinny Virgo from Los Angeles.
Thomas “Detour” Evans is a Denver muralist known for his playful, multimedia, and interactive work that defies the traditional standards of “art.” ELLE Street Art has made waves with her effervescent murals seen all over Miami, and even in New York City’s east village, where her tribute to Ruth Bader Ginsberg continues to inspire awe. And Jeff Zimmerman, who’s large scale murals of contemporary pop culture and sensitively rendered portraits have been featured in the New York Times. These are just a few of the talented creatives who will be making their mark on our community during PINCfest.
“The PINCfest lineup was inspired by our aspiration to connect creative minds, who are driving impact and change across the nation through their art, to our community,” said Anand Pallegar, founder of DreamLarge. “We hope the celebration will spark imaginations, paint our community in sounds and color, and leave a lasting imprint that will inspire beyond the festival.”
