October With a Fresh Flavor

September 21 – Sarasota

After a resounding approval from the Downtown Improvement District, Fresh Fridays is proud to return for its second season on October 7th with OCTOBER FRESH.

Returning to State Street between Lemon Avenue and the parking garage entrance, OCTOBER FRESH kicks off the Fall run of FREE events with a signature twist on Fall-themed programming. “There’s so much to celebrate in October, so we wanted to blend it all into an inclusive event that has a little something for everyone,” says event organizer and promoter, Joseph Grano of Next-Mark.

That broad programming centers on the headlining musical guest, JAC of All Trades, who make their Fresh Fridays return after wowing guests at the March event earlier this year. Fronted by former American Idol finalist Jonathan Cortez, the musical act blends impeccable song selection with a mix of live instrumentation, soaring vocals, and high-energy DJ work. “The response at the March event was incredible,” says Cortez, “so when the Fresh Fridays team reached out about October 7th, it was an easy decision.”

To help commemorate the launch of the second Fresh Fridays season, the event team is bringing back some fan favorites who have been staunch supporters of the series. These include Brick’s Smoked Meats, State Street Eating House + Cocktails, and Art Ovation Hotel, among others, who will be offering some Fall-themed bites and beverages street-side.

Elsewhere on State Street, the event will have Jenga and cornhole stations set up so guests can engage in some lighthearted competition with friends and family. The event zone will also include a giant tent to accommodate October Fresh rain or shine. Access to the State Street Parking Garage will remain open from Orange Avenue and Ringling Boulevard.
