Neal Communities, southwest Florida’s premier, private homebuilder, was recognized by Where to Retire Magazine in its annual “The Short List: 50 Best Master-Planned Communities in the United States,” in the July/August issue. Neal’s Grand Palm, located in Venice, Fla. is one of nine master-planned communities in Florida to be recognized this year.

“Grand Palm has been an incredibly successful community and we’re proud it has received this national recognition,” said Pat Neal, Founder and Chairman of Neal Communities. “We’ve designed Grand Palm to reflect an endless vacation lifestyle that’s strongly resonated with homebuyers.”

Recreational paths wind past palm trees and green spaces at this all-ages community. A lifestyle director organizes activities like yoga and dance classes, while canoeing, kayaking and fishing await on Adventure Lake.

Residents at Grand Palm also have access to a fitness pool, resort-style pool with water slides, miles of walking and bicycle trails, dog parks, athletic courts, splash park and playground. A new social club is currently under construction with a resort-style pool, spa, tiki pavilion, sand pit with hammocks, café, pickleball courts and a game room. The community is located 10 minutes from downtown Venice and the gulf beaches.

Grand Palm offers paired villas starting at $283,900 and single-family homes starting at $299,990. Four series of floor plans are available, ranging from two-bedroom, two-bathroom villas with over 1,600-square-feet of space, to three-bedroom, three-bathroom homes with over 3,300-square-feet of space.

The communities ranked by Where to Retire come from 17 states. Florida has nine of the winning 50 communities, followed by North Carolina with eight, Arizona with seven and South Carolina with five. The selected 50 best master-planned communities showcase the variety of housing options and amenities that enrich the lives of relocating retirees.
